Non-toxicity – The silvery white metal is non-toxic and odorless, has a smooth surface
and is easily washable and hygienic, not allowing the growth of germs. This metal is
widely used as beverage cans, cooking utensils, food packaging and in the fishery and dairy industries.

Impermeable
Aluminum has an excellent barrier function therefore keeping out air, light, liquid and microorganisms to preserve the contents of food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products.

Aluminum packaging offers a high level of corrosion resistance. It provides optimal protection properties by offering
an impermeable metal barrier to light, ultra-violet rays, water vapoaur, oils and fats, oxygen and micro-organisms.
When used to package sensitive products such as pharmaceuticals or food, aluminum is hygienic, non-toxic,
non-tainting and retains the product’s flavor.

aluminum is highly resistant to most forms of corrosion; its natural coating of aluminum oxide provides a highly
effective barrier to the effects of air, temperature, moisture, and chemical attack.

disadvantages....


  • once in strange cans must be protected from moisture and/or humidity (if not lacquered or coated)
  • not suitable for used in the microwave oven.
  • aluminium smelting gives off sulfur dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, which can results in both smog acid rain.
